This album is a compilation tribute record made in honor of Greg McKillop, frontman and organizer of 20-40 piece Worcester based punk-orchestra Speaker For The Dead. Greg McKillop has done so many incredible things for people in Worcester and across the country, and has been such a huge inspiration to so many folks musically and as a human being. With this album, our goal was not to 1-up Greg's songs with our own takes, but to create a physical reminder of how huge an impact Greg's amazing music has had on the lives of so many people. This release contains covers of songs that extend throughout Greg's prolific discography, both solo and Speaker related, and these songs are covered by artists across the spectrum of genre, identity and geographical location, which we feel represents Greg's mission statement to a T: that music is something that brings people together and heals people's lives, and that if we all focused more on loving and supporting our friends and the art that they make instead of fighting with each other, the world might be a little bit happier. These songs are our way of thanking Greg for all of the work that he has done to make the DIY music scene a safer and more welcoming, vibrant space for all those involved with it. Thank you eternally, Greg. You can rest assured that you've always got friends singin' somewhere for you.

P.S. This release is Pay-What-You-Can but all proceeds will be going towards Greg McKillop so he can fund the multiple projects he keeps going at all times, whether that be the funding of the Speaker vinyl, his move to Western MA and his personal life, his solo record, or the upcoming Speaker For The Dead Tour.
Thanks for listening! Always support local music!
